Kiddos of the Month

We have two “Kiddos of the Month” for March as both Dylan and Declan have been working very hard on their goals!  Both boys are 5 years old and have a sister Michaela who is 9 ½.  Both boys love playing with each other and their sister.  Declan enjoys building towers and cities as well as painting, drawing, listening to books and playing outside.  Dylan loves ‘Thomas the Train’ and building tracks as well as painting, drawing, listening to books and being funny!

Declan’s favorite movie is ‘Rudolf the Red Nosed Raindeer’ and his favorite color is green.  Dylan’s favorite move is ‘Thomas – Hero of the Rails’ and his favorite color is yellow.  When asked about their experience at the Clubhouse, their parents responded:  “Declan and Dylan have had a great time at Kiddos’!  They have always enjoyed coming here.  Both boys have made tremendous gains with speech and occupational therapy.”

Along with receiving a Toys R Us gift card, a $100 donation will be made in their honor to the charity his family has chosen:  Susan G. Komen Foundation ww5.komen.org as their mother was 16 weeks pregnant with them when diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.  They are ALL SURVIVORS!

Kiddos' Clubhouse Receives 2010 Best of Alpharetta Award

NEW YORK, NY, February 23, 2010 -- For the second consecutive year, Kiddos' Clubhouse has been selected for the 2010 Best of Alpharetta Award in the Occupational Therapists category by the U.S. Commerce Association (USCA).

The USCA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

Nationwide, only 1 in 70 (1.4%) 2009 Award recipients qualified as two-time Award Winners. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2010 USCA Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USCA and data provided by third parties.

There continues so be a great deal of need for children in the state of Georgia who are in need of services, but families are unable to afford the proper therapy for them. In 2009 Kiddos' Clubhouse Foundation awarded scholarships to 10 famileis totaling $22,000. There were many families who did not receive crutical monies and we look to contiue to raise money in an effort to be able to award more scholarships each quarter.
